Day of The Dead Themed Craft Workshops

Family craft sessions making a Glow In the Dark Lantern and other smaller Day of the Dead arts & crafts.

Participants will be introduced to the Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico/Latin American countries, before making their lanterns and other decorations.

There will be a selection of pre-made stencils and stencil making equipment to accommodate all ages and abilities. ·

Participants will have the opportunity to make up to 3 different decorations.

The workshops will be led by artist, Jo Lucy.

Suitable for families

Please note, all children aged 12 and under must be always accompanied by an appropriate adult. Adults do not need to book a ticket for the workshop if helping children only.

We aim for our workshops to be as inclusive as possible and invite everyone to attend. However, if the participant has additional needs, please contact us in advance so that we can make our facilitators aware.

Please also note these sessions will take place in the main gallery space within the St George’s Arts Centre, as part of the Halloween exhibition week.

Photography and Videography may take place at any of our workshops/events for future advertising. We will always make you aware before we take any photographs, and if we intend to take shots other than completed artwork, backs of heads or hands, then we will always ask you to complete a permission form beforehand. Should you not wish to be photographed at all, please inform the member of staff.
