A new dance theatre work exploring the lessons and laughter of life after brain injury.
Learn From Us features the story of a mother and son, how they navigate the aftermath of a sudden life altering illness as a carer and as a young man building a new life. Told through original song, choreography and with a cast of lived experience ambassadors offering their learning, this 50 minute performance uses digital storytelling and music to explore issues of identity and recovery and how the unexpected can teach us new ways to experience and see the world.
This studio touring show, Learn from Us, tells the story of people whose lives have been changed by brain injury but not damaged. With funding from Arts Council England, regional NHS Trusts and community health partners, Rosetta Life has co-created a new dance theatre work with people living with brain injury.
“I am a better person” declared James, while Jen says “I am stronger now”.
They offer us ways to live through the trauma of our times and share with us the journeys they have been through.
